We want to introduce Instiut Roquetes, our school. It's located in Roquetes, but the people who goes is not only from this village. They are from different villages around Roquetes. For example Xerta, Jesús, Aldover, Alfara de Carles, La raval de Crist, Paüls, Benifallet and Els Reguers. This zone is very quiet, paceful and wonderful place, we have the river Ebre, a big and long river in Spain, the nature park of "Ports de Beseit", a beautiful mountain and the “Delta de l'Ebre”, where is the mouth. The people in this place are very nice, friendly and lovely too.
Our school has 800 students more or less and it's very large. This has secundary, batxillerat and a hairdresser's module. It has computer classrooms, language classrooms, laboratories, drawing classrooms, a music room, video classroom and a gym. It's very qualified.
Many years ago, when we weren't at the school yet, it was created school orchestra. Now, many students and teachers are members, playing an instrument or singing. We play when we make some festival and we go around the country to play too. We could tell that we are famous :P
We have the Green Committee, an organization that fights for the environment and ecologic classes. We have also a mediation project, we try to not have problems between students and resolve it using words, not violence.
In the radio room, we disseminate current news in different languages: Latin, Greek, French, Spanish, Catalan and English. We are international.
We have a magazine too. It is published annually and the writers are the students. So we are journalist too ;) At St. George we do literary awards and the students present their works.
As you can see, we are very participatory. Our teachers are fantastics and we are delighted with our school!
